I turned this speaker on successfully (charging via usb port of mac laptop) -- but i can't get the laptop to recognize the attached device/speaker(?).Back to product

I'm unsure about a Mac, but on my iPad I go into settings > Bluetooth. Turn Bluetooth on and speaker should show up in available devices. Select the speaker and you're good to go
